Blog: October 2010 Litter
Lessie lost her pups that were due October 18. Her body reabsorbed them. This can happen at any stage in the pregnancy, and the cause is unknown. I have thought of investigating further, but decided there is something amiss and I would not want to put her at risk with another preganacy. I am so sad, she is a perfect goldendoodle, very sweet and such a good Mom
Lessie had her ultrasound today and Dr Burns saw 6 tiny puppies in their little sacks. Counts by ultrasound are unreliable, byt we do have a good sized litter coming. Congratulations Lessie and Newman!
The process for Lessie and Newman's litter due October 18,2010 has begun. Yes, the November 2010 litter has become the October 2010 litter! Lessie decided to start early. Her heat cycle began August 8, 2010 and she and Newman will be honeymooning this week.
I am going to try something new and post the whole reproductive cycle for you to keep track. Of course this is is to the best of my knowledge from experience, Lessie may throw me a curve, we shall see!
